Take Home Reading Program

Students in Junior Kindergarten to Grade Four are involved in a variety of “Take Home Reading Programs.” Each of the classroom teachers help the children to find books at an appropriate reading level, or “just right” books to take home to read. The programs vary with each grade level. The teachers communicate via newsletters which will be found in the teacher links or Paper copies sent home. Reading at home with an adult helps to further a child’s fluency and comprehension skills.
